Sheila Dikshit asks CPWD to promote Government Schemes in Delhi

Sheila Dikshit is a former Delhi chief minister who has served for 15 years from 1998-2013. She has initiated so many projects and schemes for residents of Delhi State 

One of the earliest schemes was Bhagidari Scheme thought to be her pet project. Her objective was to involve the people of Delhi including civil society and social welfare associations) in the decision-making process so that everyone gets benefited

Initially, only 11 citizen  groups were identified for the decision-making process while later it grew to more than 2500 groups

In this scheme, meetings were held once a month with resident groups and Chief Minister through video conferencing

United Nations and Common Wealth Community have conferred awards for transparent governance 

Dilli Anna Shri Yojna is another scheme launched by Sheila Dikshit for Delhi people under this scheme, an amount of Rs. 600/- was transferred to women aged above sixty years or oldest aged female member of the family who is categorized as BPL families

The money was transferred by Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) which are linked to Aadhaar card

Under Rajiv Gandhi Gramin LPG Vitrak Yojana scheme, CM said that poor families of Delhi will get LPG connections immediately upon contacting the concerned officials and making Delhi first Kerosene free state in the country and resulting in lower pollution.


Former CM had launched her brainchild schemes called Kishori, under this sanitary napkins will be distributed to the girls who are studying V-X class in Government-run schools


Ladli Scheme was launched in the year 2008 to empower the girl children born in Delhi
